Freely you have received; freely give. Matthew 10:8b
Do you remember how Jesus changed your life when you first put your faith in Him? I do. I was 12 years old, and I felt so much peace and joy that I couldn’t help but want other people to know Jesus, too. I told my family about Jesus. I told my friends. And I kept telling them, until one day my sister told me to ‘Shut up!’ She didn’t want to hear it anymore.
I tried to stop. But every now and then I couldn’t help but share with her. Looking back, I know God put a longing in my heart for her to come to Jesus that I couldn’t ignore. It took 16 years, and finally she came to faith in Jesus Christ. God brought her to Himself through the testimony of many people and some of the oddest circumstances, and I couldn’t take any credit.
When we love someone deeply, we want them to know Jesus. Sure, we want them to have peace and joy, but it really comes down to wanting them to have eternal life. We want them to be with the Lord, and with us, forever.
And you know what? The Lord wants them to be with Him forever, too. It’s the Holy Spirit that puts that longing in our hearts for them to come to Jesus. He’s the one who compels us to pray and share the Gospel, even when people reject us because of our faith.
Who do you know who needs Jesus? How can you share Him with that person today? One way is to tell them about KCIS Radio and invite them to listen. Romans 10:17 says:
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. (NKJV)
Sharing the Word of God is what KCIS Radio is all about. Listeners hear a variety of Biblically sound teaching that deepens their understanding of the Bible every day on KCIS. Share your faith by giving to KCIS Radio during the Fall Pledge Drive today!
