The Guard at the Tomb

In the early hours before dawn, while guarding the tomb of Jesus of Nazareth, an extraordinary event occurred. The earth shook, and the stone sealing the tomb began to move. A figure with a blindingly bright face appeared, causing the guard to tremble in fear. The figure spoke to a woman who had come to anoint Jesus’ body, telling her not to be afraid and that Jesus had risen from the dead, just as he had foretold. Upon regaining consciousness, the guard found that the darkness had lifted.
