Natalie Grant recently reached out for prayer as she discovered she will need to have surgery to remove half of her thyroid. The surgery is scheduled for October 10th and is part of a precautionary plan after discovering cancerous tumors. This means Grant will need recovery leading to cancellations of shows and appearances until the end of November.
Unfortunately, her battle with thyroid issues is nothing new. An ultrasound taken three years ago revealed tumors on her thyroid. Luckily at the time, these were found to be benign. However, as doctors have kept a close eye on the issue over the past few years, things have changed.
In an emotional video to fans, Grant reassured everyone that thyroid cancer is said to be treatable and very curable. There are some risks with the surgery ahead since the thyroid is located near vocal cords. This could lead to changes with her voice. However, Grant remains faithful that God will pull her through this.
Please pray for Natalie, that there will be a quick and easy recovery. We pray that Natalie will have all threats of cancer removed from her body and that her vocal abilities will remained intact. We can only imagine how terrifying all of this news must be for Grant. Nevertheless, she puts all of her trust in the Lord knowing He has everything in the palm of His hands.
