When Jesus Christ was born into our world and grew up among us, He put on flesh and blood to show us who God is. Fully man and fully God is a mind-bending concept, but that’s who Jesus was!
Hebrews 1 verse 3 says:
“The Son (Jesus) is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful Word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.”
Jesus embodied the character of God because He is God. The Bible tells us that no one can see God, but God made Himself visible to us through Jesus Christ. Then, after Jesus completed his mission on earth — dying for our sins and conquering sin and death through His resurrection — He returned to His place in heaven where He is glorified forever!
The reason Jesus came to earth was to restore us to a loving relationship with our Creator. When we Discover Jesus as our Savior and Lord, we become God’s child, just like it says in John 1:12-13:
“But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.”
Prayer:
Thank You, Jesus, for becoming human so I can know who God is and what He is like! Thank you for living and dying for me, so I can be with You forever. Amen.
