Many of our favorite artists release music videos that hit us right in the heart. There’s something about when imagery accompanies powerful lyrics, it brings you right into the story. But Micah Tyler’s recently released video for his single “Different” is quite simple, and yet in the first few seconds you’ll find your heart already beginning to stir.
The video begins with Micah walking down a street, guitar in hand. He begins narrating about the preliminary writing of the song and how he now sees it in a totally new way. What many of us hadn’t realized is just how much Micah has been going through recently. He is one of those people you see get hit with trial after trial and you wonder to yourself how they could take anything more. How are they still standing? And yet he does with adamant faith that could truly move mountains. He explains this running through the tragic news his family seems to keep getting including his grandmother and brother’s battles with cancer. And then the song begins and you hear these lyrics in a whole new way, the way Micah now does.
It’s powerful, touching and raw and we are so grateful that Micah would be willing to share something so personal with us.
