Read: Psalm 85:1-2, 8-13 Hosea 6:1-6 1 Thessalonians 1:2-10
Reflect: As my eyes travelled through the hills behind the house, lost in my thoughts I wondered what lay at the top of these hills. The beauty and splendor of the wild and nature creatures caught me in my tracks.
How many more hills will I have to see before I understand that “He loves us more than those hills.”
His mercies exceed the hills and even though the hills be moved the Lord will forever be kind towards us and His peace will keep our hearts (Isaiah 54:10)
Why do we doubt His Word and seek our ways?
Why do we forsake His Salvation and peace?
We search for love in places where our feet were never to tread.
Trapped in sin we sit in thickest darkness, yet He calls out to us with arms open.
We lay in embers of shame our sin has brought. Yet, the Lord awaits us in His gates.
His gates of mercies are wide open for us to run in and be saved.
Like the dividing wall, our sins have separated us from Him.
Why do we hide away from Him that is true and full of light?
Are we, sitting in the darkness of this vain world, deluded by its worthless pleasures?
What pain and hopelessness it is to grope aimlessly when Jesus calls us unto freedom.
When we embrace the God of our salvation, we enjoy the goodness He ushers into our lives and bask in His glory.
He awaits our homecoming, patiently sitting on His throne. Like the prodigal son, we have missed it. Yet His love beckons our hearts to come home.
It is time to lay down this burden of guilt; it is time to go to our healing place.
As we approach our healing place, in His presence,
He will refresh us,
He will heal our wounds,
He will soothe our pain,
He will comfort our hearts.

Discuss: What are some aspects of the Lord that you find hard to grasp? His forgiveness? Mercy? Talk about the things in your life that you need to give over to Christ.
Pray: Dear Lord, like sheep gone astray, we have wandered off. We acknowledge our Love and Mercy on our lives and we ask that you bind us up, revive us, restore us and raise us up in Your Will. Fill us up with your peace and overflow us with your mercies in Jesus Name.
