GP will be hosting our second Freedom Walk on July 20, 2013 to raise awareness about the realities of human trafficking in Washington State. The Freedom Walk is a fundraising event to raise money and awareness about the issue of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking in the greater Puget Sound region. Currently there are approximately 500 underage girls and boys being sold for sex in the King County at any given time. This Freedom Walk raises funds to support Genesis Project, a drop-in center in SeaTac, WA. The Genesis Project works with local law enforcement to help victims who are rescued from their lives on the streets. With the funds received, we plan on securing a long-term housing option to offer normal living conditions in a loving environment. As you participate in the Freedom Walk, you can help these young girls turn their lives around and pursue their own dreams. Please visit freedomwalk.gpseattle.net!

  • Hope 253 - For King & Country - FREE Community Event

Tacoma, WA—(June 29, 2015) - - Life Center Church has announced a festival event featuring the double Grammy winners “for King & Country”. The band won Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for RUN WILD. LIVE FREE. LOVE STRONG., and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for their collaboration with Lecrae on “Messengers”. You can see them live in Tacoma on August 16, 2015 for FREE to those who come early to get a seat at Cheney Stadium, home of the Tacoma Rainiers Baseball Club.

Every person is created with a craving inside of them for MORE…more possibility, more freedom, more peace, more…HOPE. HOPE 253 is the product of a dream. In short, it is the tangible expression of the satisfaction Jesus offers to our craving of MORE. It is an expression of His hand to offer HOPE to the [253] community. “I was united with my grandmother for the very first time as a result of a Billy Graham Crusade, so I recognize how these types of events can create special connections today but also reconnect people from our past,” said Dean Curry, Pastor of Life Center Church. “As we partner with our friends from various churches throughout the 253 area code as well as World Vision, we anticipate an evening of high impact and a powerful illustration of HOPE.”

Life Center points out that this is not a “Life Center event” but a community event for anyone who would like to be apart of it. As is often the case with major crusades, they come to a town and have a remarkable impact on people’s lives, but when the show is over, they pack up and move along to the next destination. Hope 253 changes that dynamic. This is an opportunity for people to have real breakthrough in their lives and by having local churches not only present, but responsible for the event, gives people a place to go after Hope 253 concludes. The goal is to benefit local churches, so they see growth and that the people who will be impacted on August 16, will ultimately find a church they can call home.

Along with the Grammy award-winning artists for King and County, you will also be treated to R&B and Gospel legends Dawkins and Dawkins, and the Hope 253 House Band. Be inspired by the testimony of former NFL Wide Receiver for the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers, Eric Boles along with a selection of local community leaders. This will be a one-of-a-kind experience that you won’t want to miss and…it’s FREE! Read More
