What are your favorite Easter memories? It was around this time of year back in the mid 70’s that I was visiting my grandparent’s home in Bakersfield, CA. The film “The Ten Commandments” was on television as well as the TV mini-series “Jesus of Nazareth.” I was entranced by both shows. I was not raised a Christian, so these stories from the Bible were completely new to me. They planted seeds in my life that would eventually blossom into my conversion during my junior year of High School.
Media has such an impact on all of us. I’m so glad that you are interested in the media ministry of KCIS Radio. Did you know that KCIS is the only station in our area that carries “Adventures in Odyssey” from Focus on the Family? It’s a wonderful “radio drama” that teaches young people biblical truth, in entertaining ways. You can hear it weeknights at 7:30pm
Another great show for building up the family and Christian marriages is “Family Life Today.” You can hear it weekdays at 5:30am and 9:30am on KCIS. The above picture is from the recent National Religious Broadcasters convention. That’s me and my wife Jennie with Dennis Rainey (left) and Bob Lepine (right) from the show.
We play classic Christian music year round on KCIS, but the Easter season always makes this song especially meaningful… Enjoy!
P.S. Please keep the KCIS Spring Pledge Drive in your prayers, happening April 20-22.
Blessings,
Mark Holland
