Welcome New Americans: Seattle
Watch 500 people from 80 countries become Americans at the emotional naturalization ceremony at Seattle Center Fisher Pavilion. Band plays at 11 a.m., ceremony and speeches at 12 p.m. Free.

Grand Old Fourth of July: Bainbridge Island
Take the Bainbridge Island ferry on foot to the Grand Old Fourth of July for a pancake breakfast, car show, foot race, street fair, kids’ activities, parade at 1 p.m., and fireworks. Free.
Tacoma Freedom Fair and Air Show
Features six music stages, food booths, an air show, and big fireworks show. Donation requested.

Wooden Boat Festival: July 4-7
Find races, boat rides, demonstrations, live music, and food vendors at the Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival at the Center for Wooden Boats. Free.
Concerts at the Locks: July 4, 6 & 7
Summer concerts on the Ballard Locks lawn are every Saturday and Sunday (plus July 4) at 2 p.m. Bring a picnic, but no alcohol. Free except parking.
Wallingford Family Festival: July 6
Wallingford Family Festival and Kiddies Parade is a small neighborhood event at Meridian Playground.
Airplanes, Cars and Motorcycles: July 6
Tacoma Freedom Fair Wings & Wheels is airplanes, flyovers, a car show, race cars, motorcycles, and a beer garden at the Tacoma Narrows Airport.
Chamber Music on a Farm: July 6
Hear world-class chamber music on the lawn or in the barn at the Olympic Music Festival in Quilcene.
